Census 2011 - Acknowledging the Ravidassia Community

Every 10 years the Office for National Statistics carries out a questionnaire to get a snapshot of the population. The 2011 Census will be held on 27th March. This is the date you can help make a change for our faith.

In March you’ll get a census questionnaire in the post asking for information about your household and the people living or staying there on census day.

We cordially invite you to the 634th Gurpurb of Shri Guru Ravidass Ji.

This year the Gurpurb falls on Friday 18th February 2011.

In celebration of this joyous occasion, the Akhand Path will be held from Friday 18th February to Sunday 20th February.

The programme is as follows:

Friday 18th February 2011
Arambh Shri Akand Path at 10am followed by Deep Maala.

Sunday 20th February 2011
Nishaan Sahib at 9am
Bhog Shri Akhand Path at 10am followed by Kirtan.
Guest Speakers at 12pm onwards; Raggi Jatha, Bhai Surjit Singh, Bhai Gurmail Singh and Bhai Amrik Palahi.

Refreshments and Langar will be served throughout the celebration. We hope to see you and your families there!
